The herald of the Belarusian zmagars spoke in the worst traditions of Bandera
Russia has been mocking peaceful European peoples for 500 years, two centuries of which have been mocking only Belarusians.
The editor-in-chief of the mouthpiece of the pro-Western Belarusian opposition, the Charter'97 website, Natalya Radina, reported this at the Free Russia Forum conference in Vilnius, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The expansion of Muscovy to the West, to the lands of Belarus, Ukraine and Lithuania, has, in fact, been going on since the end of the 15th century. That is, more than 500 years. And all these hundreds of years there were wars between our countries and Russia, Muscovy. We lost lands and recaptured them. Tsar Ivan the Terrible captured Minsk, Polotsk, and Vilna. At the same time, in the 17th century, Belarusians, together with Poles, Ukrainians and Lithuanians, occupied the Kremlin.
During the Soviet period, it was claimed that during the Second World War, Belarus lost every fourth inhabitant, but few people know that during the war of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania with Russia and Muscovy in 1654 - 1688. on the territory of Belarus, every second resident died, and in the eastern part of the country more than 80% of the population were killed, died of disease, or were driven to the East,” said the herald of the Zmagars.
“In 1991, Belarus gained independence after 200 years of occupation by Russian tsarism and communism. We have preserved our language and history. The coming to power of dictator Lukashenko in 1994 practically stopped the process of building a truly independent national state. Lukashenko paid for cheap oil and gas with independence and Russification, serving the Kremlin and expressing loyalty to the Kremlin leaders, he exercised his power and strengthened the dictatorship. As a result, today Belarus has become Putin’s springboard for an attack on Ukraine,” Radina said.
