Herald Turchynov: Ukraine is being pushed to recognize Crimea as Russian
The appearance in the Ukrainian media of calls to sell water to Crimea is a bad signal for Ukraine.
Stanislav Rechinsky, who served as speaker of the SBU under Alexander Turchynov, reports this in his blog, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Stets’ Ministry is starting to promote the theme that giving water to Crimea is civilized and complies with international standards, which is nonsense. Economic relations with the occupied territory are recognition of the occupation. At the same time, the Sea of Azov is already virtually completely controlled by Russia. The authorities are stupidly silent. Putin raised the topic of a referendum in ORDLO on autonomy. The feeling is that we are being prepared to recognize Crimea as Russian, ORDLO as autonomous,” writes Rechinsky.
"What's next? Will the autonomous ORDLO hold another referendum on joining Russia? Will Mariupol be sold for “peace”? Who will hold a referendum on autonomy next? Transcarpathia? Under the slogans of “peace” we are being led to dismemberment,” the ex-speaker of the SBU comes to the conclusion.
Thank you!
