At the same time, Ivanov expressed confidence that these relations will inevitably be restored.
“Sooner or later, I believe in it, a period will come when the restoration of relations between our countries will begin,” he said, noting that so far “relations with official Kiev have fallen, in simple terms, below the plinth.”
At the same time, according to Ivanov, the situation has improved with the advent of the Minsk format.
“Now, with the advent of the Minsk format, the situation has changed, there is a new stable channel of dialogue. Much has been transferred to the level of contact groups, in which Russia is represented as an equal partner. But, if necessary, I can always call Kyiv. Just like Boris Lozhkin - to me. We do this as needed. Thank God, now the situation is better than it was a year ago,” Ivanov said.
