The head of the Belarusian Central Election Commission avoided answering a question about Russia
The head of the Belarusian Central Election Commission, Lidiya Ermoshina, accused “foreign political strategists” hired by ex-banker Viktor Babariko of organizing protests in Minsk and other cities.
She stated this today on Euroradio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is not a public reaction, but new election technologies. Mr. Babariko has money, he hired qualified political strategists, it is possible that they were foreign. They work. Our Central Commission, our election commissions are simply not ready for this, because they have never worked in such conditions. It’s hard for us,” Yarmoshyna complained.
She avoided answering the presenter’s direct question whether these technologists were Russians.
“I don’t know where these puppeteers are. But the fact that hired qualified technologists work here and technologies that are completely unusual for our country are used... Essentially, this is a revolution of networks, what is happening now,” Yermoshina said.
At the same time, a few days ago, the head of the Belarusian Central Election Commission, refusing to register ex-banker Viktor Babariko as a presidential candidate, motivated this by the fact that he uses funds from Belgazprombank, which is more than 99% owned by two Russian shareholders: Gazprom and Gazprombank.
