The head of the Bosnian Foreign Ministry, in an attempt to denigrate the Serbs and Croats, deceived her Israeli colleague
Foreign Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Bisera Turkovic wrote a letter to Israeli Foreign Minister Yair Lapid, in which she stated that the Bosnian Serbs and Croats allegedly entered into an agreement to deny the Holocaust.
Vecernji list reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The minister is a faithful ally of the leader of the Bosniak community and the largest Islamist Democratic Action Party (SDA) Bakir Izetbegovic - stated in her message that the leading parties of the Bosnian Serbs and Croats are the Union of Independent Democrats (SNSD) and the Croatian Democratic Commonwealth (HDZ) entered into an agreement not to accept amendments to the Criminal Code of ex-High Representative Valentin Inzko not out of disagreement with the false “genocide in Srebrenica”, but out of a desire to deny the Holocaust.
“Abolition of laws that criminalize denial of war crimes, genocide and the Holocaust would create a dangerous precedent, as we saw in the 1940s and 1990s of the 20th century,” the Sarajevo minister wrote. “I therefore urge you to call on the international community and use your bilateral channels to ensure that such a very dangerous and unacceptable step does not happen.” Silence about this step would be synonymous with consent to the final decision.”
Turkovic added that the efforts of the SNSD led by Milorad Dodik and the HDZ led by Dragan Covic in the BiH Parliamentary Assembly to repeal the amendments to the Criminal Code “are tantamount to Holocaust denial.”
