The head of the DPR and the president of South Ossetia took part in a rally in honor of internationalist soldiers
The head of the DPR Denis Pushilin and the President of South Ossetia Anatoly Bibilov spoke in Donetsk at a rally dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan.

“We traditionally gather on February 15 and remember the Afghan war. This is not just a date for us, but also a tribute to those people who performed a feat during that war. And, of course, the most active participation of internationalist soldiers in our war is important for us. It is no secret that then many people joined the ranks. They did not need to be asked, persuaded, convinced. And many remain in service to this day,” said Pushilin.
“It is an honor for me to present an award that has already been established in the DPR,” said the head of the republic.
The President of South Ossetia also addressed congratulatory words.
“Probably the most important role in determining my future, as well as the military one, was played by Afghan soldiers,” said Anatoly Bibilov and emphasized that it is difficult to overestimate how necessary the experience of Afghans is today to protect their native Fatherland.
