The head of the DPR instructed to eliminate queues at checkpoints as soon as possible
The capacity of crossing points on the demarcation line with territory controlled by Ukraine and on the border with Russia should be increased in the near future.
About this during the annual message to the deputies of the People's Council said Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Every effort must be made to normalize the work of specialized services at border crossing points in two directions: towards Russia and the territory of the DPR, temporarily controlled by Ukraine.
We need to remove the barriers that prevent our citizens from crossing the border comfortably. So, the task is not just to minimize queues and stabilize the situation in a short time - people must pass through checkpoints quickly and comfortably,” he noted.
In addition, the head of the DPR appealed to parliamentarians to send him proposals for introducing methods to combat corruption at the beginning of next year.
“This should be a kind of road map with clear deadlines for its implementation and persons responsible for the progress of implementation,” explained Pushilin.
Let us remind you that earlier the DPR modernized the Elenovka checkpoint located on the demarcation line, which significantly increased its capacity and ease of use by citizens.
