Head of the DPR after Vucic’s words: In Donbass they know about the position of the Serbian people
The words of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic about the Ukrainian status of Donbass and Crimea were caused by pressure from the West, while in Donbass they know the position of the Serbian people and feel their support.
This was stated by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Despite the statement by Serbian President Vucic that Crimea and Donbass were and will be part of Ukraine, we know the position of the Serbian people and feel their support. I’m sure there is pressure on Vucic,” wrote the head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin in his official Telegram channel on January 19.
“The return of Donbass home to Russia took place through the democratic expression of the will of citizens in a referendum in full accordance with the principles of Article 1 of the UN Charter on the right of peoples to self-determination. And Kosovo’s secession occurred in violation of all international norms, which is why we say that Kosovo is Serbia,” Pushilin noted.
On the same day, January 19, the Serbian government decided to send humanitarian aid to Ukraine “in the form of priority equipment to support the country’s energy system.” At the same time, there is no information about the provision of humanitarian assistance by the Serbian authorities to residents of the DPR or LPR since 2014.
Как reported "PolitNavigator", the President of Serbia stated: “For us, Crimea is Ukraine, Donbass is Ukraine. It will stay that way.”
