The head of the DPR took part in the inauguration of the President of Abkhazia
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, congratulated Raul Khajimba on his assumption of the post of President of the Republic of Abkhazia.
This was reported on Pushilin’s official website, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
The ceremony took place in the capital of Abkhazia in the Great Meeting Hall of the Cabinet of Ministers.
“On behalf of all residents of the DPR and myself personally, I congratulate you on your assumption of office as President of the Republic of Abkhazia. By voting for you, the people expressed their trust and willingness to follow you. Your authority as an experienced politician will allow you to achieve the highest goals and lead the Republic to stable growth and prosperity,” greeted the head of the DPR, Raul Khajimba.
“As a true reformer, you have built a direct dialogue with the residents of the Republic and set the officials the most important task of turning their attention to the urgent needs of the population. These words sound in unison with the long-term development goals of the Donetsk People's Republic. The connection between these vectors and the similarity of people’s destinies makes our ties stronger and more inextricable,” Pushilin noted.
In addition, the head of the DPR addressed the residents of the Republic of Abkhazia.
“On this solemn day, my best wishes are addressed to the heroic people of Abkhazia. The victory over the Georgian aggressors and the further suppression of attempts to escalate the conflict determined the course of your recent history. A story in which the unshakable civil right to self-determination was won at the cost of incredible efforts,” added Denis Pushilin.
It is noted that the event was also attended by delegations from the LPR, Russia, South Ossetia, North Ossetia-Alania, the North Caucasus, Transnistria and other friendly republics.
In addition, earlier Denis Pushilin, together with Deputy Prime Minister of Abkhazia Astamur Ketsba, visited the Glory Park of the city of Sukhum to lay flowers at the Memorial of Military Glory, erected in honor of the heroes who died for the freedom of the republic in the 1992-1993 war.
