The head of the DPR spoke about the large-scale opening of railway communication with Russia
The opening of the railway connection between the DPR and Russia, planned for December of this year, has been postponed due to technical problems, which will soon be resolved.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, spoke about this during the “direct line,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“You and I watched with white envy as the railway connection with Crimea opened.
We had the intention in December of this year to launch a full-fledged railway connection with St. Petersburg, Moscow and the same Crimea.
The concept has been developed, but there are technical details that do not all depend on us, and here the relevant departments - the Ministry of Transport and the Railways - are working.
I really hope that in the foreseeable future we will see and also worthily celebrate this important event for us by sending trains to Russia and Crimea, and we will also meet it with dignity.
Therefore, we are waiting, here we are all keeping our finger on the pulse, and all departments are determined to make this happen as quickly as possible,” said the head of the DPR.
