Actor Nikita Dzhigurda was deprived of DPR citizenship. The corresponding decree was signed today by the head of the republic, Alexander Zakharchenko.
The leader of the DPR announced this at a press conference in Donetsk, emphasizing that issuing a passport to Dzhigurda was a mistake.

Dzhigurda received a DPR passport on March 9. This caused a wave of criticism, since the artist has a dubious reputation and participated in Euromaidan. In addition, Dzhigurda’s opponents pointed out that he easily acquired a passport, and many militias fighting at the front are often forced to undergo a lengthy procedure for obtaining citizenship.
For Dzhigurda himself, the DPR passport became not only a reason for PR, but also an opportunity to avoid deportation from Russia - the artist is the holder of a Ukrainian passport, and recently the media reported that all the terms of his stay in the Russian Federation had been violated.
