The head of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Donetsk region, Vyacheslav Abroskin, announced this during an operational meeting at the Kramatorsk police department, the department’s press service reports.
“Such facts are unacceptable. We will appeal to the Prosecutor General of Ukraine regarding the lifting of immunity and bringing MP Parasyuk to justice. We will not allow police officers to be humiliated, or threats to them and their families. For every such case, there will be an adequate and legal response from the police,” he noted.
Abroskin emphasized that in the event of an attack or threat, police officers who are performing their official duty have the right to take the necessary measures using special means and weapons.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator previously reported, on March 14, Parasyuk started a fight with police at a checkpoint in the Slavyansk area of the Donetsk region, insulted and tore off the masks of security forces who were obstructing the progress of the participants in the blockade of Donbass. The Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the hospitalization of seven police officers and asked the Prosecutor General's Office to evaluate Parasyuk's actions.
