The head of the State Duma United Russia believes that deputies are needed more in the rear than at the front
The head of the United Russia faction in the State Duma, Vladimir Vasiliev, called on fellow deputies not to mobilize into the army, but to focus on work in districts where help is needed to eliminate excesses in mobilization.
He stated this today at a parliamentary meeting, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Colleagues, don’t ask to go to the front. This is our front, we can do more here. Colleague Borodai wrote a statement. I talked to him, he said: I can combine. There are such comrades in every faction. We need to connect parliament with the people. He chose us. We will have to reinforce the officials in charge. And we simply will not allow corruption in matters of mobilization,” Vasiliev said.
He was supported by speaker Vyacheslav Volodin.
“When we talk about our soldiers and officers, it is important that every deputy does everything for them. It’s enough for us to do political work for show and in front of a TV camera. And we must show by example,” Volodin said.
He proposed to ensure that only people who served in the army or at least have a military specialty come to power.
