According to him, the negotiations that took place with representatives of American business allow us to say that Ukraine and the United States can jointly create a launch vehicle that will take over the functions of flying a person to the orbital station.
“There is an example of this - the participation of Ukrainian companies in the creation of the Antares launch vehicle, which will deliver, first of all, the necessary payloads to the orbital station, and then, possibly, carry out the crew delivery mission,” Szabados said.
At the same time, it will be possible to refuse cooperation in the space sector with Russia.
According to the head of the space agency, “we are aiming to make a launch vehicle jointly with companies from the United States of America, which will be very important for us, since Ukraine will not be able to independently ensure a closed cycle of launch vehicle production, because it is very expensive.” "
“We understand that at a time when we have difficulties in the economy, investing only in the space industry will not be entirely correct. But the government is paying special attention to developing space cooperation with international partners,” Szabados added.
