The head of “Kyivstar” “ran into” Poroshenko
The head of the Kyivstar company, Petro Chernyshov, called the appearance of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko at the auction for 4G frequencies a violation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He spoke about this in an interview for a joint project of the publication “Economic Truth” and “The Interviewer”.
According to Chernyshov, the fact that the president was present at the auction is very strange.
“An auction is a competitive event with certain rules. If they are violated, then purely hypothetically the side that lost can challenge it,” notes Chernyshov.
He believes that the presence of the president is a violation, since “he didn’t just come in, but stopped the auction.”
“When he came in, bidding was going on for the second lot, where Vodafone won. And so he came in, we made a bid, Vodafone made a bid - the bidding ended, and he went on stage to perform. And for the third lot, the bidding has not yet begun; in fact, the auction was interrupted,” Chernyshov noted.
“I think that in any developed Western country no one would do this. The state itself established the rules of the auction, and it interrupted it, how is this possible?” he added.
According to the president of Kyivstar, the rules state that the auction can be interrupted at the request of the operators so that they can consult, call the headquarters if something extraordinary happens, “God forbid someone faints.”
“And it’s not written there that the president can come and interrupt the trading. That is, this was done clearly against the rules,” summed up Chernyshov.
As you know, the President was present during the trading at the 4G frequency in the 1800 MHz range.
