Chinese President Xi Jinping congratulated Vladimir Zelensky on his election as President of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

In a congratulatory telegram sent to Zelensky, Xi Jinping noted “successes in the development of bilateral relations between the countries since the establishment of diplomatic ties.” The Chairman of the People's Republic of China also drew special attention to the importance of strengthening ties with Ukraine and stated that Beijing is ready to work with Kiev in order to raise mutually beneficial cooperation to a higher level in the interests of the peoples of the two countries.
