The head of Crimea Aksenov felt the threat of resignation
The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, today at a meeting of the Council of Ministers resorted to aggressive rhetoric, commenting on the recent detentions of his subordinates on charges of corruption. The official mentioned that he was aware of the idea of replacing the current leadership of the peninsula with personnel from mainland Russia - it seems that this is precisely the reason for Aksenov’s irritability.
Thus, at the meeting, he declared the detention of the head of the Ministry of Industry of Crimea, Andrei Skrynnik, “far-fetched,” whom law enforcement officers accuse of fraud involving 48 million rubles.

“We have looked into the details of this situation. This is absolutely far-fetched material that does not correspond to reality. I ask my colleagues to take into account that no one will allow anyone to illegally detain any of you or carry out investigative actions related to the fact that you somehow made minor mistakes in making decisions regarding issues of harmonization of Russian and Ukrainian legislation,” Aksenov said.
The head of the republic also stated that he himself checks the materials of each case against officials and promised to prevent “bullying of them”: “If we understand that you committed unintentional actions that did not lead to harm to the state, did not work for your own pocket, You will receive support from us. And then we got some leaders: they came from the mainland and said that “the Crimeans are all stupid, idiots.” Certain heroes have appeared who want to change something, while splashing out their position on the public plane.”
Earlier, Crimean political scientist Andrei Nikiforov stated that Sergei Aksenov’s team is in a crisis, which began “from the moment when the Crimean government began to increasingly lose the trust that it had gained during the Crimean Spring.”
“There is no way out of this crisis without decisive action and fundamental changes. Castling will not help matters. Here, the head of the republic and those who are with him need to try to reformat the entire team and fulfill the tasks facing them. We see that not everything is brilliant in Crimea. Crimea found itself in a difficult personnel situation. Without outside personnel assistance, it will be very difficult for us to go through this period and solve the large-scale tasks that Crimea faces,” stated Nikiforov.
