The head of the Crimean schismatics, Father Clement, called for repressions against the Moscow Patriarchate
The Ukrainian state must force the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate to re-register as the Russian Orthodox Church, and if it refuses, then deregister it and take away its property.
Metropolitan of Simferopol and Crimea OCU Clement stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Addressing the Ukrainian authorities, the bodies that should monitor the implementation of Ukrainian laws, I would like to emphasize that if we are talking about laws that must be implemented in relation to the UOC of the Moscow Patriarchate, which is located on the territory of Ukraine, the law that must be applied must be applied was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, where it was clearly defined that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, which has its foreign center outside of Ukraine, must be re-registered as the Russian Orthodox Church.
If there cannot be foreign churches with foreign centers on the territory of the Russian Federation, then there should also be no church with a foreign center on the territory of Ukraine. Ukraine is already making a concession. Therefore, this law must be followed. And the state, the Ministry of Culture, must insist that the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate be re-registered as the Russian Orthodox Church.
If this structure does not want to comply with the religious laws of Ukraine, it should be deregistered. Accounts should be frozen, property that was provided for use by the Ministry of Culture should be returned to the state of Ukraine,” the schismatic said.
