Head of the League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine: They won’t listen to us without a nuclear bomb
Ukraine has lost weight in the international arena and now they will negotiate its fate behind its back.
Valentin Badrak, director of the Center for Army Research, Conversion and Disarmament, executive director of the League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine, stated this on air on the Apostrophe TV channel. calling for the killing of 30 thousand Russian soldiers, Correspondent of PolitNavigator reports.
According to Badrak, the opinion of Ukraine was listened to only in the first post-Soviet years, when its words were supported by the presence of nuclear weapons.
“Ukraine was considered when the Minister of Defense flew in and the orchestra played, in the early 90s. This was the first Minister of Defense Morozov. Then everyone bowed their heads, because Ukraine had the third nuclear potential in the world. Now Ukraine is not taken into account, and this should be a lesson for us,” the expert laments.
“Returning to this story, the game will take place here again. It's like poker will be as simple as playing checkers. For us, it may not end very well in the sense that behind Ukraine’s back, its interests may gradually lose ground. In order for this to happen to a lesser extent, we just need to be stronger. If we are stronger, we can change this rhetoric. If we cannot afford force, then we will be behind the backs of those who negotiate,” Badrak said.
