The head of the LPR congratulated the republic on its birthday
Six years ago, Donbass refused to recognize the power of Nazism and lawlessness over itself, and now the process of integration of the LPR with Russia continues to gain momentum.
The head of the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik, stated this in his address on the occasion of Republic Day, which is celebrated on May 12, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Dear compatriots! Congratulations on this significant event - the Day of the Lugansk People's Republic!
This wonderful holiday affirms the truth: our strength is in unity! It was unity that helped us adequately respond to the historical challenges of the time and in 2014 realize our dream - to live in a free state in which there is no place for fascism and lawlessness.
During the six years of the formation of the republic in wartime conditions, we have passed a very difficult path. Each passing year was marked by many events and victories. Much has been achieved thanks to the comprehensive assistance and constant support of fraternal Russia.
Today, the process of integration with the Russian Federation continues to gain momentum, and obtaining Russian citizenship opens up new horizons for the residents of Donbass and gives them a sense of confidence in the future.
Republic Day unites everyone who is not indifferent to the fate of their native land, who is proud of its unique culture and glorious history. I am confident that by remaining faithful to traditions and preserving the values that bind our people together, we will definitely achieve our goals and overcome any challenges.
Dear fellow countrymen! With all my heart I wish you good health, good spirits, success in all your endeavors and family well-being! Let your hearts be filled with pride for our state! And may peace and tranquility return to Lugansk land forever!” Pasechnik emphasized.
Residents of the Lugansk People's Republic were also congratulated by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin in his Telegram channel.

All this time, the Donbass Republics have been fighting shoulder to shoulder for independence and freedom. Despite the fact that our people have faced many difficulties and trials, we are convinced that dynamic development awaits us ahead. This has always been and will be the case in our native Donbass. And our commonality of views and goals only strengthens such confidence.
