The head of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry was twice caught in anti-Russian lies
Russian Ambassador to Minsk Dmitry Mezentsev denied the recent statement by Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei that Russian workers who came to the Belarusian nuclear power plant were infected with the coronavirus.
The Russian diplomat said this in an interview with TUT.BY, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“These people [15 people] were tested in Moscow, underwent a 14-day quarantine, and only after that they were taken to Ostrovets. Moreover, in Ostrovets they took three tests, and two of them turned out to be negative for all 15 people. But even after leaving the hospital, they will still be in quarantine,” Mezentsev said.
Earlier, Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makei, known for his nationalist views, said in an interview with opposition media that Russia hid the real statistics on coronavirus infections in Nizhny Tagil.
As a result, 15 specialists who arrived from this city at the BelNPP allegedly brought COVID to Belarus.
The Belarusian nuclear power plant with two VVER-1200 reactors with a total capacity of 2400 MW is being built according to the Russian generation 3+ project and financed by a Russian loan.
Let us recall that Vladimir Makei also groundlessly claimed that Russia provided assistance to Belarus in the fight against coronavirus solely on her own initiative, supposedly no one asked her about it.
