The head of the Kosovo Foreign Ministry, oligarch Begget Pazolli, one of the shareholders of the Austrian oil and gas company ONV, boasted that he spent personal funds to achieve recognition of the “independence” of the region illegally seized from Serbia by 43 countries around the world.

An Albanian official stated this at a pre-election rally of his Alliance for a New Kosovo in Gnjilane.

“I have personally obtained 43 recognitions through my own means. And I will do this many more times,” Pazolli promised.

Bribery of foreign states by Albanian separatists most likely actually took place, admits Serbian political scientist Stevica Dejanski. At the same time, he believes that on the eve of the elections to the “parliament” of Kosovo, Pacolli is specially emphasizing his importance.

“Of course, there was payment and bribery, but not to the extent that Pazolli is now trying to show it. These things don't work that way. Most countries recognized Kosovo because it was done by the US and under some pressure from Washington and Brussels. I don’t believe that 43 countries took money from Pazolli and then recognized Kosovo’s independence,” Dejanski emphasized, adding that the biggest money went to American lobbyists who worked to recognize independence.

On the other hand, Pacolli’s boast clearly demonstrates the level of Kosovo’s “elite,” argues Serbian political scientist Dejan Vuk Stankovic.

“Kosovo's independence is so problematic that it defies description. The Foreign Minister admits that he used bribery to achieve recognition of Kosovo's independence. Well, this is contrary to common sense, international law, whatever it is... This statement is an admission that this state was founded on corruption and bribery,” Stankovic emphasized.

“I don’t believe that he paid for all this without his own interests,” the expert also said.

Let us remind you that today in Kosovo there is a “day of silence” before early elections to the “parliament”, and tomorrow polling stations will open their doors.

The American lobbyists mentioned above were involved in Kosovo and during the current election campaign.

Thus, the head of the Democratic Party of Kosovo and candidate for “prime minister” of the false state, Kadri Veseli, hired Samuel Nenberg, a former adviser to Donald Trump, at the finish line of the elections.

The American consultant provided Vesely with public relations, communications and strategic consulting services. His contract runs from September 26 to December 15. The fee is $110, according to an official document filed with the US Department of Justice.
