The head of the LPR Foreign Ministry explained the genius of the non-working Minsk plan
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the LPR, Vladislav Deinego, at the anti-fascist forum in Sevastopol, explained why it is necessary to adhere to the Minsk agreements, which Ukraine openly spits on and bombs the territory of Donbass.
“Those who have carefully read the Package of Measures and other Minsk documents, and who are familiar with the basics of state building, understand perfectly well that it is about building relations between Donbass, as an independent entity, and Ukraine.
It defines the steps that the two parties must take to regulate their relationship mechanism. Contractual relations between Donbass and Kyiv are assumed.
Anyone who understands issues of government understands perfectly well that this is a confederation.
Yes, as a stage in some kind of life, it is theoretically possible to assume the creation of such a confederation. Purely speculative. You and I understand perfectly well that Ukraine did not put off resolving this issue for five years in order to suddenly agree and give the opportunity to implement these things,” Deinego said.
“Let’s assume that Ukrainian state policy has changed to the point where they can recognize the Donbass’ right to the Russian language, to its economy, politics, army, and security forces. Is this the Ukraine it is today? No. To do this, Ukraine will have to turn into the same people's republic and take our positions. Are we ready to live next to these people, to be neighbors, partners? Probably, they are ready if they are able to go the way that we went very quickly,” the official shared his reasoning.
