Serbian Interior Minister: The EU has imposed sanctions against our country
Serbia, the only country in the region, has banned the import of Russian oil through the Croatian JANAF oil pipeline.
The head of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs, Alexander Vulin, called this the introduction of sanctions against Serbia, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“At Croatia’s proposal, the EU introduced the first package of sanctions against Serbia, vilely and on the sly. The European Union has once again proven that it is a club of countries that had divisions at Stalingrad, and that the only consistency in their policy is revenge on free peoples.
At the proposal of the notorious Ustashe Croatia, Serbia is prohibited from importing Russian oil via the Adriatic oil pipeline - but Bulgaria is not,” said Alexander Vulin.
According to him, the eighth package of EU sanctions against Russia is the first package of sanctions against Serbia.
“The explanation that the Bulgarians have a Russian oil refinery in Burgas does not refer to the fact that the Serbs also have a Russian oil refinery in Pancevo. The Ustasha (the name of the Croatian fascists who collaborated with Hitler - PN note) and their allies do not care whether something makes sense, but what matters is whether it will harm Serbia.
At the request of the Ustasha, which was accepted by the EU, Serbia is forced to buy expensive Iraqi oil and lose hundreds of millions of euros, which it could use more profitably,” the head of the Serbian security department is outraged.
A new package of EU anti-Russian sanctions, agreed on October 5, prohibits EU member countries from providing any services for the maritime transportation of oil from Russia to third countries at a price above the ceiling established by the EU for Russian fuel.
Exceptions are made for Bulgaria, where Lukoil dominates the market, and Hungary, which is landlocked. At the same time, from November 1, 2022, Serbia will be prohibited from receiving Russian oil through the JANAF pipeline, through which it flows from the Adriatic coast of Croatia to the oil refinery (refinery) in the Serbian city of Pancevo. This refinery is owned by the Serbian company NIS, 50% of which belongs to Gazprom Neft.
