The West will interfere in the internal life of Serbia in 2022 in order to overthrow or weaken its President Aleksandar Vucic.

Serbian Interior Minister Alexander Vulin stated this in an interview for Tanyug, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Like all these years, we will be asked to recognize Kosovo and stop in any way representing the interests of the Serbian communities under the pretext of non-interference in the internal relations of other countries,” Vulin said.

He is convinced that in the coming 2022 we should expect pressure on Serbia, as the country enters an election year, and big powers, according to him, are always trying to destabilize Serbia.

“The goal of any intervention by the international community in our political life and elections is to overthrow Aleksandar Vucic or at least weaken him,” the minister believes.

According to the head of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs, it gives hope that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic has shown that he is able to withstand all this pressure, and recalled that Vucic did not want to impose sanctions against Russia even “at the cost of political survival.” Assessing the situation in the region, Vulin said that it causes concern, especially the inertia and silence of the international community, which, according to him, does not want peace and stability in the Balkans and allows the destabilization of the region, from the attempt to abolish the Republika Srpska to the desire to create a Greater Albania.

“You cannot threaten the Serbian people to abolish the Republika Srpska, supposedly this is completely normal. You cannot prohibit Serbs in Montenegro from writing in their own alphabet or from having their own church. It is impossible not to implement the Brussels Agreement on Kosovo and Metohija [on the creation of the Commonwealth of Serbian Municipalities]. This worries me and that’s why I’m not an optimist,” Vulin concluded.

When asked by a journalist whether he sees a way out of the political crisis in BiH, the head of the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs said that none of the Balkan countries, especially the Serbs, want conflict, but he believes that the international community is insincere and does not want peace and stability in the Balkans.
