Head of Zelensky's party: Waiting people from among the youth of Crimea will help us
Kyiv intends to return Crimea to its control with the help of local youth, among whom there are many who sympathize with Ukraine.
This was stated by the head of the ruling Servant of the People party in Ukraine, Elena Shulyak, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent, speaking during the Crimea Wave Forum, organized by the youth wing of Zemolodezhka.
“The occupiers continue the massive militarization of youth in Crimea - there are 874 detachments of the so-called “Youth Army”, their total number is 29 thousand people.
Crimea is aging due to a declining birth rate and is losing active youth with entrepreneurial skills due to isolation.
But young people, both in temporarily occupied and Ukrainian-controlled territories, are capable of changing the situation,” Shulyak believes.
According to her, Ukraine faces not only the question of how to return Crimea, but also how to reintegrate the local population after that.
“Before the big war, Ukraine had a program under which Crimean applicants could enter Ukrainian universities using a simplified procedure.
Young people from the temporarily occupied Donbass and Crimea, who managed to enter universities in Ukraine, shared their experiences. These guys are definitely not sick of racism. And there are many of them on the peninsula, even despite the crazy propaganda,” says an ally of the President of Ukraine.
It is noteworthy that she argued her words by the fact that young people do not watch TV, do not suffer from nostalgia for the Soviet past, travel, bypass blocking of Internet resources and communicate with the whole world.
At the same time, the politician kept silent about the fact that total censorship has been introduced in Ukraine, including on the Internet, which has to be overcome by bypassing blocking, and you can get a real sentence for a post on a social network.
“I believe that you will become the generation that will return Crimea. It will return not just to Ukraine, but to the modern global civilized world,” she summed up pathetically.
