The incident occurred right on the doorstep of the establishment. Before entering the museum, the Polish minister asked the director of the museum, Ruslan Zabily, about the events of 1918 in Western Ukraine.
“The minister asked me whether Western Ukraine was occupied in 1918,” Gazeta.ua quotes the director of the Prison. – I answered that yes, it was an occupation. Then he abruptly turned around from the threshold and did not enter the museum. This was, in my opinion, a deliberate political move."
The conflict at the doorstep of the prison was a continuation of a chain of sharp signals towards Ukraine. So, just three days ago the same Waszczykowski made a statement. about which already reported Political Navigator - regarding Ukrainian citizens entering Poland, essentially declaring “sympathetic” Ukrainian nationalists persona non grata: “We are now launching procedures that will not allow people who demonstrate extremely anti-Polish positions into the territory of Poland. People who demonstratively wear the uniforms of the SS “Galicia” will not enter Poland,” Waszczykowski said on November 2. “Those individuals who demonstrate and use administrative instruments against Poland will also face consequences,” the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry also said.
