Members of the precinct election commission counted a ballot in his favor, where an obscene word was written next to his name - “X..y”.
When counting the votes, two candidates, Vasily Kriven from the VOLIA party and self-nominated Mikhail Vorona, received the same number of votes - 117 each.
After the votes were counted, before packing them into envelopes, the chairman suggested that the commission count one of the invalid ballots in favor of her matchmaker, Mikhail Vorona.
“We started preparing counted ballots to put in envelopes. Three ballot papers were declared invalid, including the one with “x...y” written on it, says Vasyl Kriven. – Suddenly, the chairman of the commission, the school director Maria Matskovita, says, here, in my opinion, there was an expression of will, let’s vote. Since the majority of the commission members are school teachers, it was decided to count this uncensored ballot in favor of my opponent,” says the losing candidate.
