The head of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine threatens to defeat Russia with the help of the “special Ukrainian spirit”
Despite the lack of modern weapons, low moral and psychological state of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukraine is supposedly capable of resisting the Russian army.
Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov stated this on air on the Apostrophe Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In the event of an attack by Russia, all relevant institutions, according to the laws of war, will immediately come to the defense of our country. And if someone thinks that this will be an easy walk, believe me, it won’t be. I would like to draw your attention to the fact that we still have a separate weapon that no one pays attention to - this is our spirit. Why are we different from Russians? The spirit of freedom, the spirit of responsibility for our country is our inner spirit, which not every nation has,” Danilov said.
He believes that it was this inner spirit that “helped” the Ukrainian army in 2014 in the Donbass.
“And when the boys and girls went to defend our country almost unarmed in 2014, this is what the enemy did not expect. He could not imagine this, because he believed that, starting with Yanukovych, he had almost destroyed our army, the SBU, and other institutions. And it is thanks to this spirit of our people that the things we have today have happened,” the head of the National Security and Defense Council concluded.
