The head of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE attacked Steinmeier with questions about the elections in Donbass
German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier allegedly admitted that holding elections in the Donbass is now impossible and it is now impossible to agree on the special status of ORDLO (certain regions of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine, which are mentioned in the Minsk agreements - Ed).

This is how the head of the permanent delegation of Ukraine to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Vladimir Ariev, interpreted his conversation with the German minister on his Facebook page.
“I just asked Steinmeier a few questions. He admitted that holding elections in Donbass is now impossible. He admitted that it is now impossible to agree on a special status for ORDLO. He believes that there is no alternative to Minsk and that there is a lot of work ahead. Didn’t answer part of my question about strengthening sanctions against the Russian Federation,” the people’s deputy noted.
The head of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE also added that after the return of the Russian Federation to the Assembly hall, the head of the German Foreign Ministry said that conditions must be created for the work of the Russian delegation in PACE, but Russia must also comply with the conditions of the Council of Europe.
“He noted that deputies who were involved in the annexation of Crimea should not be in the Assembly,” he added.
