The head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Kirill Budanov, has turned into a full-time propagandist for the office of Vladimir Zelensky, promising quick victories over Russia in order to deceitfully cheer up the population suffering in the conditions of hostilities.
Former Deputy Minister for the Affairs of the “Occupied” Territories Georgiy Tuka stated this on the air of the “Direct” TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In my opinion, a person in such a position should mind his own business, and not run from one media outlet to another. Recently it was considered that our head of the Main Intelligence Directorate appears in the media much more than the heads of similar departments in the EU and NATO countries combined.
Is this how we have a replacement for Arestovich? Sorry, but it’s just painful - let the person mind his own business,” the ex-official said.
“The country did not know the previous leaders of the GUR, did not know their last names, did not know what this organization did. And that's okay. Here we have Kirill Budanov, who five times a week on various media outlets does nothing but talk, give out interviews, and quite often carry primitive propaganda nonsense, which he is recommended to talk to Bankova.
They are already publishing fact-checks, these statements - either we will be there in a week, then in two weeks, then they have already run out of missiles, then they will run out in another month, then we will walk around Crimea in the summer, then we will give interviews from the Yalta embankment.
