The High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine does not yet have premises for work, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. About...

“Judges and some of the staff have now been appointed, but we have a very wide range of work ahead of us. We need to staff the staff and resolve issues of logistics for VACS. Today there is no building that meets the needs of a judicial institution. These questions are the first, the most important, the fundamental, without which we will not be able to begin our work,” she said.

Tanasevich recalled that the new court should begin work on September 5, 2019.

“And by this date we will try our best to solve all our current problems and begin to administer justice. The premises that were allocated by the Cabinet of Ministers in November 2018, unfortunately, are not suitable for the functioning of the court. It requires major repairs, redevelopment, reconstruction - this will take some time. The issue of providing VACS with a temporary building is currently being resolved. The premises of the Pechersky District Court cannot physically accommodate all the staff and judges who are needed for the functioning of the judicial institution,” she added.

The law on the creation of the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine was adopted in June 2018. On April 11, 38 judges of the anti-corruption court took the oath. On May 7, Tanasevich was elected head of the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine.
