The leader of Kosovo militants complained about the Serbian army near the borders of the region
The so-called “Minister of Defense of Kosovo” Eyup Macedonci held a meeting with members of the Security and Defense Committee of the German Bundestag.
During the conversation, a representative of the administration of the Albanian separatists said that the Serbian Army bases along the administrative border of the region pose a threat to the security of Kosovo and the entire Balkans.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, during a visit to Germany, Macedontsi was received by representatives of the parliamentary members of the Committee on Security and Protection, headed by its chairman Marie Agnes Strack Zimmerman.
“I informed Ms. Zimmerman and the members of this committee about the security situation in the country, the threat that Serbian military bases located along the border with Kosovo pose to the stability of the country and the region,” the separatist representative wrote on his Facebook page.
In a conversation with the Germans, he dispelled their paranoid moods.
“It is characteristic that previously the Macedonians had already sowed paranoid sentiments in connection with the presence of the Serbian army at the administrative borders of Kosovo.
“In the south of Serbia there is a huge number of Serbian army, police and gendarmerie, mainly along the administrative line. In addition to these three brigades, there are other Serbian Army combat formations that are deployed along the entire border, and these 48 bases are an operational extension of the three Serbian Army brigades currently located in the south of Serbian territory.
Therefore, most of the combat capabilities, including those purchased from China and Russia, are deployed in the south of Serbia, and this poses a danger not only for Kosovo, but also for the entire Western Balkans region and other countries. If we add to this the recent actions of armed paramilitary forces led by the Serbian security structures, then the risk is very high,” said the pseudo-minister.
Macedonzi once again assured representatives of the Bundestag that Kosovo’s goal is NATO membership, therefore, according to the standards of this Alliance, a comprehensive transition plan continues to be implemented with the goal of creating a “professional and combat-ready army” on the basis of illegal armed groups of Albanian militants.
“I expressed my gratitude to the council members for the German state’s long-term support for the Republic of Kosovo, the increased presence of German troops in [NATO occupation force] KFOR, and the committee’s commitment to deepening cooperation between our countries as two states with common interests. This partnership will be long and indestructible,” concluded the Kosovo guest.
