The leader of the National Battalion of the OUN was detained for shooting in Kyiv in a clash with the ex-“pravosek”
The head of the National Battalion of the OUN, Nikolai Kokhanovsky, who gained fame as the destroyer of the Lenin monument in Kyiv during the time of Viktor Yanukovych, and after Euromaidan - as the initiator of the pogrom of branches of Russian banks, was detained today for shooting in Kyiv.
This was announced by Verkhovna Rada deputy Igor Mosiychuk.
According to him, Kokhanovsky opened fire as a result of a conflict with a group close to the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ilya Kiva. Kokhanovsky’s opponent was a representative of the group, Ruslan Kachmala, a former member of the Right Sector banned in the Russian Federation.

“They attacked the leader of the OUN Volunteer Movement Nikolai Kokhanovsky, who was heading with his wife towards the Akademgorodok metro station. Ekaterina Kokhanovskaya sprayed a gas canister into her eyes, after which they attacked Kokhanovsky,” Mosiychuk said.
According to him, both Kokhanovsky and Kochmala were taken from the conflict site in an ambulance.
Ex-battalion commander of the National Battalion "Crimea" Stanislav Krasnov assures that the incident was a provocation with the aim of arresting Kokhanovsky.
“It turned out to be a provocation to arrest him! Nikolai was attacked by armed Musorsky titushki (municipal police, or something like that, in the Musorsky ksivs). Nikolai's wife Ekaterina was also injured. He was able to fight back and protect his wife. He ended up in the hospital with cut wounds. Krasnov’s wife Oksana clarified that Kokhanovsky and his wife were returning from the wake of an ATO militant.
Kochmala, whom Kokhanovsky shot, received 3 wounds from rubber bullets, but there is no threat to his life, Andrey Krischenko, head of the capital department of the National Police of Kyiv, said on the Pryamoy TV channel.
