The leader of the OUN demands that the SBU transfer everyone to Transcarpathia
Ukrainian special services need to act extremely harshly against those residents of Transcarpathia who have received Hungarian passports, since this is a direct threat to the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
The head of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, Bogdan Chervak, stated this on air on the Zik channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Unfortunately, for some reason we interpret this incident as a problem or issue of dual citizenship. In fact, this incident touches on a much deeper problem. This incident concerns an attempt on the territorial integrity of Ukraine. Here's what really happened.
An anti-Ukrainian Sabbath took place in Beregovo, the purpose of which was to document that there are people in Beregovo, there is a place where one can sing the Hungarian anthem, where one can distribute Hungarian passports, bearing in mind that Transcarpathia, as an integral part of the Ukrainian state, once could become Hungarian territory. This is what we are actually talking about,” the nationalist emphasized.
Chervak agreed that it was necessary to close the Hungarian consulate and, moreover, called on the SBU to take tough response actions.
“If I were the SBU, I would arrest all those who swore an oath of allegiance to Hungary and interrogate them as to what grounds they had for committing such anti-Ukrainian and anti-state actions in Berehovo on the territory of the consulate, which belongs to Hungary.
This event, in my opinion, fits into a number of other problems that we have already witnessed: when Hungarian flags are hung on administrative buildings in Transcarpathia, when various memorial signs are erected to some Hungarian figures who at one time did not hide the fact that they are supporters ideas of the revival of great Hungary, and that Transcarpathia is not Ukraine, but Hungary.
It is obvious that when it comes to an attack on the territorial integrity of the Ukrainian state, the country must act adequately, firmly and quickly,” said the OUN leader.
