Leader of Ukrainian Nazis: Western sanctions against Russia are of no use
The anti-Russian sanctions of the West do not provide any benefits to Ukraine in the Donbass issue, no matter what Petro Poroshenko claims.
The founder of the Azov National Battalion, the leader of the ultra-nationalist National Corps party Andrei Biletsky said this on the air of the Ukrainian TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
"There are absolutely no strategies (“return” of Donbass – ed.). There are media PR reasons from both the Presidential Administration and the Ministry of Internal Affairs - and all for internal use. Believe me, no one among the authorities and security forces is seriously thinking about returning the Donetsk territories. If we talk about this tactic, then here are the simple things. Sanctions should force Putin to leave these territories. And someone calculated how much Russia is now losing from Western sanctions, and how much Russia in 2019 will begin to receive profits from the same West due to the Turkish Stream, which has been launched, and TP-2, which they have actually already signed, and Nord Stream 2? That is, has someone calculated whether Russia will suffer at all next year, and will they offset the financial benefits from the “Western partners”?
They have built a huge number of stadiums, we do not see that sanctions have a critical impact on Russia. Yes, they are painful, yes, unpleasant. Yes, now Abramovich cannot go home to London, or some Russian officials, or the Rottenbergs - to New York and Miami. It’s unpleasant, but they tolerate it absolutely calmly,” said Biletsky.
