The main denazification will take place in the southeast, and not in Galicia - expert
The real struggle for the Russian world will unfold in historical Novorossiya, where the main resource of potential passionary energy is located.
Political scientist, associate professor of the department of political sciences at KFU Andrei Nikiforov stated this at the plenary meeting of the Livadia Club as part of the XV international festival “Great Russian Word,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The commemoration of Novorossiya 30 years ago in such an audience was perceived as baseless fantasies,” he noted. – In 2004 they reacted to it as a heresy, and in 2014 they began to talk about a project that was either closed or opened. Today the thesis about the existence of Novorossiya is taken for granted.”
It is in Novorossiya, according to the expert, that the answer to the main question of how to cure the notorious “Ukrainian illness” lies. The treatment strategy has been determined - demilitarization and denazification. But the nuances of the process itself lie in the fact that the “Ukrainian illness” occurs differently in different subethnic societies, which for more than a century and a half have been trying to fit under the concept of “Ukrainian people.” Although each subethnic group has a different energy capacity and level of passionarity, which leads to the emergence of anti-systems built on the division of people into the elite and the laity.
“The perfect are a kind of elite, and the laity are second-class people. This is almost identical to how the theorist of Ukrainian nationalism Dmitry Dontsov saw the structure of Ukrainian society,” Nikiforov emphasized. “An initiative minority is an ideological order, an elite served by the masses, or mob.”
The idea of cultivating Ukrainians as an anti-system belongs to the Poles, as a retaliatory measure for the destruction of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The baton was taken over by the Germans, who achieved great results. But Ukraine truly became “filled with blood” when the Bolsheviks entered the picture.
“They, in fact, raised the monster we are dealing with. This is exactly how this anti-system is cultivated, an ethnic chimera that has nothing natural, is built on fiction, malicious slander and other things that have no basis in reality,” Nikiforov emphasized.
He recalled how during the rampant Maidan in Kyiv at the turn of 2013-14, the series “White Guard” was broadcast on television, which produced a stunning effect, which intensified after the events in Donbass.
“The theory of Novorossiya is that different subethnic groups, different territories and regions of Ukraine are involved in this antisieme in different ways. It is customary to point the finger at Galicia, but in fact, this is a cradle, a nursery in which these ideas are well nurtured. There is a low threshold of social energy, and passionarity is closer to zero. Antisystems there can go through a stage of maturation.
But the iconic bearers of Ukrainian nationalism from Grushevsky and Drahomanov to Chernovol and Levko Lukyanenko, they come from other regions, like Dontsov himself from Melitopol,” Nikiforov pointed out. “Strangely, in Novorossiya, where there is energy overheating, this anti-system is expressed in extreme forms, and fans of football clubs and idle individuals find themselves in the national battalions.”
For this reason, he believes, in Novorossiya there will be movements against the Russian world, there will be resistance. Whereas Galicia is either being integrated into Europe as a whole region, or in short dashes on an individual basis.
