The Chief of Foreign Affairs in the Rada threatens to boycott the 2018 World Cup in Russia
Ukraine should call on all high-ranking officials to boycott the World Cup in Russia. Anna Gopko, head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Affairs, stated this at a round table in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The next six years with President Putin will not bring anything good for Ukraine. Therefore, it is important for us to seek and clearly explain to the West. For the US to strengthen sanctions, the EU too, for the sake of its own self-preservation. The cyber attacks that have taken place and the interference in elections indicate that a global hybrid war is underway.
On the Ukrainian side, the bill submitted by the president needs to be finalized. We also need to call for a boycott of the Championship so that not a single high official goes there,” Gopko said.
Let us recall that earlier Gopko, elected to parliament from the party of the mayor of Lvov “Samopomich”, stated that “Ukrainians are a 1000-year-old nation, older than Muscovy.”
In 2015 she also published a prayer “for the Russian people and the collapse of Putin.”
