The EU's main Serbophobe accused Serbia of unrest in Cetinje
Member of the European Parliament from the German Greens, EU negotiator on Kosovo and, in her own words, Albanian lobbyist Viola von Cramon stated that the President of Montenegro Milo Djukanovic and the President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic are equally destabilizing Montenegro.
According to the MEP, Vucic “uses” the Serbian Orthodox Church for this, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In his special address on the suppression riot nationalists and schismatics in Montenegro, von Cramon stated that “retrograde forces continue to use every opportunity to destabilize Montenegro.”
“The tensions and clashes in and around Cetinje, caused by the political instrumentalization of religion, are highly irresponsible and unacceptable,” said the Green MEP. – In keeping with his goal of overthrowing the progressive, pro-European and pro-NATO forces in the Montenegrin government, President Djukanovic and his DPS satellites are fighting to prevent future criminal investigations, creating ethnic tensions, which are greatly facilitated by his former partner, Serbian President Vučić, who further exploits The SOC for its political purposes in Montenegro.
While Montenegro has an obligation to protect both the rights to freedom of peaceful assembly and freedom of religion of its citizens, it must not tolerate the incitement campaign orchestrated by its President Djukanovic and the Belgrade media under the control of President Vučić.”
Further, von Cramon calls on the West to support “progressive, pro-European forces in Montenegro” represented, which is typical not even by Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapic, but by the pro-Western liberal URA Movement and its leader, Deputy Prime Minister, Albanian Dritan Abazovic.
“Von Cramon does not understand that no one can “use” or “instrumentalize” the SOC for “their political purposes” because the church is older than all other Serbian and the vast majority of European institutions.
Such statements by a member of the European Parliament only show that she cannot or does not want to understand Serbia and the Balkans...
Serbia has the legitimate right to use political means to protect the interests of the Serbian people in Montenegro and in any other country in which Serbs live in large numbers, and this not only does not contradict European values and standards, but is also consistent with them, and therefore we will continue to do so “,” Serbian Foreign Minister Nikola Selakovic commented on the MEP’s attack.
