The main Ukrainian fighter against corruption was offered to repent and atone for his sins in the synagogue
In response to the harsh statement of the Chief Rabbi of Ukraine Moshe Reuven Azman about illegal wiretapping in the office premises of the Central Synagogue of Kyiv - the Brodsky Synagogue, the head of NABU Artem Sytnik proposed to meet and discuss the situation. The rabbi accepted the offer, and as a meeting place, he suggested a synagogue - a place of repentance and atonement, and also said that the materials about the wiretapping had been sent to the competent authorities of Ukraine and Israel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The head of the Ukrainian Jewish Committee, Eduard Dolinsky, announced this on social networks.
“I have received your invitation to a meeting to discuss the current situation. To my deep regret, I cannot accept your invitation to come to you, in connection with my visit to the United States of America, where I am taking part in the World Congress of Rabbis, and am also planning a number of important meetings for Ukraine with US officials.
After returning, I am ready to meet with you. I believe it is necessary to offer you a meeting in our house of worship in a place where illegal actions were carried out against believers. We will be glad to see you in our synagogue, a place of repentance and atonement for sins.
At the same time, I would like to inform you that we have provided materials and facts of illegal actions, including video recordings of persons, to the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine and Israel, with the hope that under public global control, they will be able to assess these actions and bring the perpetrators to justice.
