Zelensky’s main achievements during the year of his presidency are wrinkles and circles under the eyes
At his press conference, Vladimir Zelensky demonstrated his ability to work for the public and the absence of any significant achievements.
The head of the Third Sector center, Andrei Zolotarev, stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“As a political strategist, I can note that the president has become heavier.” He turns into a character traditional for Ukrainian politics, who knows how to weave “between the drops.” His appearance also changed, not for the better - apparently, Monomakh’s hat was heavy. Wrinkles and circles under the eyes appeared. The first year was hard.
From his answers to questions it is clear that the program with which he went to the elections was consigned to the trash bin. Now we are dealing with a different Zelensky, who is significantly different from the one for whom 73% of voters voted a year ago.
But even now, 40% of Ukrainians tend to see in him the same Goloborodko, the character from the TV series “Servant of the People.” And if we talk about working for the public, yes, for Zelensky’s electorate the press conference was a success.
At the same time, the issues that worried Ukrainians - peace, punishment of corrupt officials, reduction of tariffs - remained unresolved. Only a small fraction of what was promised has been fulfilled,” concluded Andrei Zolotarev.
