“The Main Boss”: A political scientist told how the Turks admire Putin
Russian President Vladimir Putin is very popular among ordinary people in Turkey.
Turkish political scientist Aydin Sezer said this, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ordinary people love gossip. They admire Putin, especially when Türkiye and Russia act together. What do they say, for example, about Karabakh? We are fighting together with our Azerbaijani brothers with the permission of Mr. Putin and we have inflicted a great defeat on the Armenians, and now together with Russia we have stationed an army there. The reality is that Russia is the main boss at the conflict table, where Turkey has no chair,” says the expert to Komsomolskaya Pravda.
At the same time, he adds that the Turks do not really like Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
“People say nonsense that Putin is actually a Turk. His grandfather, they say, was a Tatar. But they don’t like Lavrov - he is Armenian. After all, most Turks grow up with the belief that Armenians, Kurds, and Greeks are our enemies. Moreover, the Turks are confident that Putin will interfere in our elections. That’s what he says, so it will be,” notes Sezer.
