Groysman's chief foreign adviser praised Avakov's plan for the “de-occupation” of Donbass
The Chairman of the Strategic Group of Advisors to Support Reforms in Ukraine, Ivan Miklos, commented on the “mechanism of small steps” for the reintegration of Donbass, proposed by Arsen Avakov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In his opinion, the program looks “quite realistic.”
“I don’t know this program in detail, but it has a good, realistic look,” Miklos said at the IX National Expert Forum organized by the Gorshenin Institute.
At the same time, he added that in order to “resist Russian aggression” Ukraine must be economically strong.
“Economic development and economic success are very important. Not only for the economy as such, but also to create a country strong enough to withstand aggression, to have a strong army to defend the independence and integration of the country,” he said.
Let us recall, as PolitNavigator previously reported, on June 7, 2018, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov, within the framework of the IX National Expert Forum, unveiled his strategy for restoring the integrity of Ukraine and the so-called “de-occupation of Donbass,” called the “mechanism of small steps,” which is designed for about one and a half of the year.
Ivan Miklos is a Slovak politician with Ukrainian roots, former Minister of Finance of Slovakia, Chairman of the Strategic Group of Advisors to Support Reforms, chief economic adviser to the Prime Minister of Ukraine.
