Chief Crimean Filaret member: We are increasingly overwhelmed by despair
The few Ukrainian patriots remaining in Crimea feel despair when watching photographs of the luxurious New Year's holidays of Ukrainian politicians abroad.
The so-called “Archbishop of Simferopol and Crimea” of the schismatic UOC-KP Kliment stated this on air on the Majlis TV channel ATR, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, he cannot give answers to his parishioners’ questions about why they forgot about Crimea in Kyiv.

“It’s very hard to serve, it’s psychologically hard. Because sometimes I cannot give answers to the questions that the Ukrainian community, the believers of the “Kyiv Patriarchate” asks me.
As a pastor, I can answer from a theological point of view, from the point of view of Holy Letters. But as a person who lives in society, I cannot give answers to many questions. I don’t understand what’s happening in this society, I don’t understand where such indifference to people’s suffering comes from. I don’t understand how Yulia, Nishchuk’s assistant, takes pictures on the Thames - with London Bridge in the background, and then posts it on Facebook, while people are in prison. I don't understand this, and I can't give an answer to this...
People have hope, but every year the despair and emptiness increase. They cannot give an answer, it seems to them that they have been forgotten, abandoned,” Kliment said.
