Chief liberal of the State Duma: We must beat the West where they have a rookery
Russia should introduce mirror sanctions against the United States, Canada, Great Britain and Poland.
The leader of the New People party, Alexei Nechaev, announced this today in the State Duma, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“We need to make a decision on customs duties. Now the USA, Canada, and Great Britain have introduced protective duties of 35% on Russian goods, not caring about the WTO norm. It is necessary to introduce mirror duties on goods from these countries,” says the politician.
He noted that Poland generally banned the import of goods from Russia and confiscated property from dozens of companies.
“Let's introduce such mirror measures for her. Poland is a production hub for many multinationals, where they make goods for the whole of Eastern Europe. We need to hit where they have a rookery,” Nechaev said.
