The head of the Patriotic Party of Ukraine Nikolai Gaber stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are changes, but these are changes to the dictatorial structure. We received the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Guard with tanks, guns, and heavy weapons. They are not at the front, they are here, they are waiting for your speeches to suppress the protests. But there are protests, they will happen,” he said.
The police reform, which officials talked a lot about and the Ukrainian media wrote about, failed, he believes
“It must be said that the reforms failed. Simply recruiting new people did not bring results, they recruited boys and girls, they studied for a month, came out inspired that everything would be fine, but they looked at what was happening in the country at the highest level, and after a year they had already degraded. Read social networks - our police guard commercial structures, illegal parking lots... They realized that no one needs their potential, their enthusiasm. And everything returns to its place,” says Nikolai Gaber.
