The chief “for spirituality” in the Rada demands military censorship
In Ukraine, the introduction of military censorship is justified; journalists of the Inter TV channel should be interrogated by the SBU to find out on whose order they held a concert in honor of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War and criticized the renaming of Kyiv streets in honor of Nazi collaborators.
The head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Culture and Spirituality, Nikolai Knyazhitsky, stated this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Please note that I am not talking to you now about the fact that we should immediately act or limit freedom of speech because someone said something. And this is our great achievement. Our National Policy Council is now doing everything possible to ensure that freedom of speech, as the highest value, is preserved in our country.
This is our tragedy, because there should be freedom of speech even in war, but military censorship is completely acceptable.
Yes, during war, anti-state calls are prohibited, because they are an element of a hybrid war, a war in which we take part,” Knyazhitsky announced.
“We would never have started discussing who said what at Inter if we knew who their real owner is and who finances them... As for what some of their presenters said... There is freedom of speech, and , unfortunately, he has the right to say this. We just understand that this is not his opinion. Someone just paid him for it. It’s him that the SBU should find and punish,” summed up the chief “for spirituality” in the Rada.
