Trump's main opponent unexpectedly turned out to be a “Kremlin agent”
An FBI informant connected to the investigation into the Canadian company Uranium One gave written testimony to three US Congressional committees, alleging that Moscow sent millions of dollars to the United States as part of a uranium deal with Washington in 2010 to reset Russian-American relations. пишет Interfax, citing The Hill newspaper, which reviewed the testimony.

According to Campbell's testimony, Moscow hired the lobbying company APCO Worldwide and paid it $3 million a year in fees for lobbying services. Part of these funds was supposed to go to the Bill Clinton Foundation.
“The contract implied payments in the amount of $750 thousand per year. APCO was supposed to provide free support to the Clinton Global Initiative as part of an effort to create an enabling environment to persuade the Obama administration to take positive decisions on everything from Uranium One to the nuclear cooperation agreement with Russia,” the publication quotes the whistleblower as saying.
Representatives of APCO told the publication that their cooperation with Russia and payments to the Clinton Foundation are in no way connected, and these issues were dealt with by different divisions of the company. The company also emphasized that the cooperation agreement with Moscow did not include lobbying for the Uranium One deal.
In turn, a representative of Hillary Clinton said that Campbell's testimony is being used to divert attention from Robert Mueller's investigation into possible ties between President Donald Trump and Russia.
In 2010, the Barack Obama administration approved a deal for the Russian company Rosatom to purchase Canadian Uranium One. Hillary Clinton served as Secretary of State under Obama. A serious outbreak has broken out in the United States scandal, related to the fact that Clinton not only allowed a deal in which Uranium One, a large producer of uranium for the American nuclear energy industry, actually came under the control of the Russian government, but also received suspicious amounts of money associated with the management of this company. President Donald Trump previously claimed, that because of this decision, the United States “gave 20% of its uranium to Russia.”
