Russia's chief intelligence officer exposed Zelensky's blatant lies
Statement by Vladimir Zelensky about the “Ukrainian units” that allegedly liberated Auschwitz is a lie and indicates the Ukrainian president’s ever-increasing immersion in nationalism.
This was stated during a press conference in Moscow by the director of the Foreign Intelligence Service of the Russian Federation, chairman of the public organization “Russian Historical Society” Sergei Naryshkin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“That part of Zelensky’s speech at commemorative events dedicated to the liberation of Auschwitz, where he said that Auschwitz was liberated by the Ukrainians of the Lvov division.
It is clear that Mr. Zelensky is becoming more and more immersed in the ideas of Ukrainian nationalism, completely forgetting about the principle by which the units of the Red Army were called. Or according to the principle of the geographical location where this or that unit, unit, division or army was formed. Or, starting from 1943, according to the geographical direction of the main attacks of the Red Army.
As for the fronts, these are the Baltic, three Belarusian, and three Ukrainian fronts. I repeat, in the direction of the advance of these fronts to the west.
As for the Lvov division, it was formed in the Arkhangelsk region, in the north of our country, and was named Lvov after it participated in the liberation of Lvov,” said Naryshkin.
He also emphasized that in the Soviet Union people were not divided by nationality, and ethnic Ukrainians were in almost all units of the Red Army, as were representatives of other peoples of the USSR.
“Of course, after that, as in almost all units and divisions of the Red Army, there were Ukrainians by nationality, as well as representatives of all nationalities of the multinational Soviet state. That is, the division was not formed on a national basis, this is nonsense,” added Naryshkin.
