In Kyiv, they began persecuting political scientist Alexander Semchenko, who recently became involved in a scandal on one of the TV channels after his statements about the civil war in Donbass. Thus, military prosecutor Anatoly Matios threatened Semchenko, who held the position of chief tax officer of the Sumy region in 2014, with criminal cases.

He wrote about this on his blog, attaching copies of Semchenko’s personal file and work book containing personal data, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Despite the clinical manifestations of Sashka’s obvious psychiatric illness, I can sympathetically advise this foster brother, the former or current legal husband of the common-law wife of the “mind-dead” Klimenko, only one thing - “naw, Shura, nigga. They (the weights) are golden.” And very soon, not a bird, but the magical helicopters of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs will definitely come for you, and for all of you. Be patient. We will cure you. Necessarily. And then we’ll make a movie based on the Ukrainian novel by Ken Kesey “One Flew Over the Tax Cuckoo’s Nest.” See you soon,” wrote Matios.

In turn, Semchenko said in his video blog that he wrote a statement to law enforcement agencies, in which he demands to punish Matios, but does not believe in justice:

“I filed a statement of violation against me, about the threats made by the so-called military prosecutor Matisse. More precisely, not even about threats, but about a direct violation of the law, about a direct crime that he committed by publishing my personal data... Do I believe in justice - a naive question. In general, I am not so naive, although there is a certain idealism. I always follow my principles, and I would formulate one of the principles as follows: “To win the lottery, you must first buy a lottery ticket.” Let's assume this is my lottery ticket."
